Chi tratta i dati
| Piattaforma, modello di dispositivo, sistema operativo, versione dell'app, nazione | Raccolti a ogni accesso | Capire su quali dispositivi l'app funziona male |
A chi vengono trasmessi
I tuoi diritti

Privacy Policy
Effective from 1 November 2026 · updated 8 November 2026 (the route for friends)
AthleteHub is a running training application. To work, it processes data about your health and your sporting activity. This page explains which data, why, and who it is shared with, so that you can decide whether to use it.
Who processes the data
The data controller is Massimo Cornalba, who can be contacted at [email protected].
What we collect
| Data | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email address, profile picture | Your Google account, on first sign-in | To identify you and let you sign in |
| Date of birth, sex, weight, height | You enter them | To calculate your heart rate zones and adapt your training |
| Maximum, resting and threshold heart rate | You enter them, or we infer them from your runs | To set your training zones |
| Your runs: distance, time, pace, heart rate, GPS track | Your Strava account, if you connect it | To show your history and generate your training |
| Goals, races, training preferences | You enter them | To build your weekly plan |
| Town, address, phone number | You enter them, and they are optional | For your profile only |
| Platform, device model, operating system, app version, country | Collected at each sign-in | To find out where the app works badly |
This is health data. Heart rate, weight and training say something about your physical condition. We process it only to generate your training and show you your own data, on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR), which the application asks for before collecting any data, with a box to tick after reading this page. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account: without it, the app cannot show you your runs.
Who it is shared with
We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising and we do not use it for commercial profiling. We share it only with the providers needed to run the app:
| Provider | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase (Ireland, European Union) | All of your account data | It is the database where the data is stored |
| Access to your account | Authentication | |
| Strava | The authorisation you grant it | To import your activities |
| Anthropic (United States) | Your run data, heart rate zones, age, weight, height and goals | To generate the weekly plan, comment on your runs and write the review of a training block — only if you have consented to the AI coach |
| Open-Meteo | The approximate location you ask the weather for | To show weather conditions |
| ipwho.is | Your IP address, at sign-in | To determine the country |
| Cloudflare | Requests to the site | To deliver the application |
Two points we consider important.
1. The AI coach sends your run data to an artificial intelligence model (Claude, by Anthropic, in the United States) every time it generates a plan, comments on a run or writes a training review. We do not send your name, your email or your routes. It is optional and has its own consent, separate from the one on health data: the app asks you when you first sign in, and if you say no you can still use it, without plans or comments. You can withdraw it at any time from Profile › Privacy and consents: from then on no data is sent. Turning off the coach and run-feedback switches also stops the sending, without withdrawing your consent.
2. Your IP address is not stored: it passes through in order to determine the country and an approximate location, and is never written to the database.
The AI coach is not a doctor
The AI coach's plans, comments and reviews are a training tool: they are not a substitute for the advice of a sports physician or a coach, and they contain no diagnoses or advice on medicines or supplements. Before a demanding training block you need a sports medical check-up; if you feel pain or a symptom, see a doctor.
If you connect your watch
If you choose to have your training sent to your watch, AthleteHub publishes it to Intervals.icu, which in turn publishes it to your Garmin account. In that case only the workouts themselves are transmitted — distances, paces and zones — and not your personal data. This connection is optional: you enable it and you can remove it whenever you want. Both services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
Friends
You can show your runs to other AthleteHub athletes, your friends. Nobody can search for you in the app: there is no list of users, and you become friends only by exchanging a code, in person or by reading it out. Becoming friends shows nothing: you choose, friend by friend, what to give — the run (day, distance, time, pace and elevation), the route on the map, the heart (average and maximum heart rate), the coach's feedback (which may mention pain or injuries you told it about), your profile photo — and how far back they can look, counting from today: one week, one month, three months or at most one year. Older runs drop out on their own. Heart rate and coach feedback are health data: your friend sees them only if you switch them on. The route is location data: they see it only if you switch it on too, and it never shows where you live — the part around the start and finish, within 300 metres, is hidden and never leaves our servers; only in races, where the start is public, is the route shown in full. If your friend also sees your heart rate, the route is coloured by heart-rate zone. Every choice is recorded with its date, and you can change it or remove a friend at any time: from then on they see nothing, not even what they had already seen. Your friend sees your first and last name.
How long we keep it
Your data stays for as long as your account exists. There is no automatic expiry: you decide when to delete it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from within the app, under Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, imported runs, personal records, plans, run feedback, friendships and the Strava connection are all removed, and the Strava authorisation is revoked on their side too.
One single row remains, entirely anonymous and with no reference to you: country, town, sex, the dates you joined and left, and how many days you used the app. It exists to understand how many people stop using it, and cannot be traced back to any individual.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, its correction, its deletion, the restriction of its processing or a copy of it, and you may object to the processing or lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected].
Changes
If we change this policy, the date at the top will change. If a change affects how we process your data, the application will ask for your consent again the next time you sign in. The date and version of every consent you give are recorded, and you can see them in Profile › Privacy and consents.
